I began my journey to become a counselor when I was young. I was an introverted child who felt as though I did not fit in. I was often anxious about engaging in social environments. In college, I studied psychology, which opened up a world of knowledge about human behavior. I was fascinated but pursued a different career. Two careers later, I found myself unhappy with my work and longed for something that I could do with joy. I went to therapy and worked through many aspects of my life, including my lackluster career choices. I realized what I desired was to help people on a fundamental level to live joyful, peaceful lives.

 

Today, as a counselor, I feel I have found my purpose. I believe that taking care of one's mental health is vital to living a joyful, peaceful life. I am eager to help you to gain understanding, compassion, and perspective for your life. No issue is too big or too small to discuss. If it is bothering you, then therapy can help you to work through it.

I am a board certified licensed professional counselor. My approach to therapy is integrative and based in cognitive behavioral therapy. I have also been trained in EMDR, mindfulness, and Reiki. I have experience working with people struggling with trauma, depression, anxiety, panic attacks, eating disorders, abuse, ADHD, life transitions, grief, family issues, peer relationships, self-esteem, stress, and other issues. I currently provide individual therapy for adolescents, teens, and adults.
